The item you are looking at is our model number 008-SGOSP, an adult sized, eco-friendly, sand and gelatin cremation urn, made completely of sustainable, renewable materials.

PLEASE NOTE: This urn is for PERMANENT use in your home. While it IS made of biodegradable materials, it has been kiln fired and baked for those materials to harden and strengthen, thereby making this urn a permanent urn, not like the traditional biodegradable version we also carry. Sizing Guide

 

 

Generally, 1 Pound of person/pet equals approx. 1 cubic inch of remains. For example, a 200 pound person would need a 200 cubic inch urn or larger. However, if you have a certain size urn, most funeral homes can make certain adjustments to accommodate that size urn, within reason.

The Oceane Sand Permanent urn is made completely of sand and gelatin and is totally eco-friendly. The Sand Urn is individually crafted and hand-painted by skilled artisans. Virtually identical to our popular Oceane Sand biodegradable urn, but designed for permanent use. The urn is kiln-fired for strength & durability and is ideal for presentation in the family home or placement in a cemetery niche.

 

 

Each urn includes a biodegradable bag into which the cremated remains must be placed. No glue is required to seal the urn. Simply remove the lid, carefully moisten the inside lip and replace the lid. It will seal itself.

 

 

Each urn is shipped in a box with custom protective packaging that provides families with a convenient and discreet option for transportation. The box (and urn) will pass through airport security screenings and can fit in the overhead compartment of most commercial airliners.
